Galicia
I chose the city Galicia, in Spain. It is situated in the south of Cantábrico’ Sea and the north of Portugal, there is the Atlantic Ocean at the west. And some other Spanish provinces at the east. The most visited places in Galicia are:
‘La Coruña’, is a town surrounded by the sea, and that is why it has more than 2 kilometers of beautiful beaches that the population and the tourists can enjoy.
Another town with beaches is Lugo which is also a port town because of the intensive fishing activity in the area. So it has more than beaches, it has attractions for the entire year… That includes, jewelry, water sports, and there are even forests with native trees species, from the time of the Celtics.
There is also de the capital, which is ‘Santiago de Compostela’. This town is mostly known for its cathedral, so we can say that the principal attraction in this town, are the buildings… Which where build centuries ago, most of them were built between the twelfth and eighteenth century.
Finally, another important town is ‘Vigo’, the most important town port in the whole world. It is also the most populated town in its province ‘Pontevedra’. It is a town with many museums such as ‘The sea museum of Galicia’ and the only zoo in Galicia ‘A Madroa’.
The official languages are the Spanish and the Galician, which is recognized as a different language. It is also characteristic the food, which many kinds of sea food and other meats mainly. There also produced many kinds of cheese and wines of premium quality.
In fact, I have family in Galicia, they have large wine cellars there. They are linked with Vinigalicia’, which is now an International association. I have never been there to visit them, but I may go some year… There is much more to say about Galicia, but I rather go and see it by myself.
